Nice and easy place to live

Haltom City is located in the heart of three major highways; 820, 121 & 35. We don't travel far to go ANYWHERE (on a daily basis). Other than ease of travel, there is friendly neighbors and downhome Texas hospitality. I have read that HC has a "higher than average" crime rate. However, I have not experienced it as the folks around here are overwhelmingly observant. The city responds to the people's concerns. There are nice, neat tidy homes and there are those that need some help. Those in need of restoration could benefit from an overhaul. Contractors should see the potential of this city and "refurbish". Houses rebuilt/redesigned, perhaps with "green" elements, would put this community back into a higher status. (I don't believe my town deserves the bad wrap that it gets.) I see the potential for this area and even now, I would not want to leave here. This city was built to be an industrial area due to the convince of the surrounding highways. However, the access to the three major highways could be a selling point to a renewed community.
